Managing Raw Materials
Quick Buttons
The Raw Material page provides three quick buttons for managing raw materials:

Add Item: Clicking this button opens a dialogue box to add a new raw material. Users can input details such as Item Name, Unit, Category, Supplier, Quantity, Price, and Currency. SKU will be automatically generated for the new raw material upon creation.

Add Category: Clicking this button opens a dialogue box where users can view existing categories and add new ones. By typing the name and pressing “Create Category,” users can easily add a new category for organizing raw materials.

Import from File (Special Feature): This button enables users to import raw material data from an Excel file. Upon clicking, a dialogue box with a drop option appears, allowing users to drag and drop the Excel file containing raw material data. All raw materials will be automatically imported. Additionally, users can download a sample file to ensure proper formatting.
Adding an Item
To add a new raw material item, follow these steps:
- Click on the Add Item button.
- In the Add New Raw Material dialogue box, fill in the details for the raw material:
- Item Name: Name or description of the raw material.
- Unit: Select the unit of measurement from the available options (e.g., pcs, mtr).
- Category: Select the category from the dropdown list or create a new category using the “Add New Category” option.
- Supplier: Select the supplier from the dropdown list or add a new supplier using the “Add New Supplier” option.
- Quantity: Enter the quantity of the raw material.
- Price: Enter the price per unit of the raw material.
- Currency: Select the currency for the price.
- Click Add Item to add the new raw material to the inventory. SKU will be automatically generated for the new raw material.
Importing from File (Special Feature)
To import raw material data from a file, follow these steps:
- Click on the Import from File button.
- A dialogue box with a drop option will appear.
- Drag and drop the Excel file containing raw material data into the drop area.
- All raw materials from the file will be automatically imported into the inventory.
Ensure to download the sample file for the correct format before importing raw material data.
Editing Raw Material Details
To edit details of a raw material, follow these steps:
- Click on the Edit option in the action menu of the desired raw material row.
- An edit panel will open, allowing the user to modify details such as name, category, supplier, and SKU.
- Make the necessary changes and save the edits.
These features streamline the process of managing raw materials, providing users with efficient tools for inventory management and organization.
