Add Product

Product Details

The Product Details section includes the following fields:

  • Product Name: Enter the name of the product.
  • Product Category: Select the category for the product. You can create a new product category using the “Add New Category” button located at the top of the category select list.
  • Description: Provide a description of the product.
  • Unit of Measurement: Select the unit for the product (e.g., pcs, mtr).
  • Tax Category: Select the tax category for the product.
  • Currency: Select the currency in which the product will be sold.
  • Quantity: Enter the initial quantity of the product.
  • Selling Price: Set the selling price for the product.
  • Purchase Price: Set the purchase price for the product. This button changes dynamically based on the availability of raw materials.

COGS (Cost of Goods Sold)

The COGS section automatically calculates the total cost of goods sold based on the purchase price and raw materials used. It includes the following information:

  • Total COGS: Total cost of goods sold.
  • Total Production Price: Total production price.
  • Items Used: List of raw materials used in production.

Raw Material

The Raw Material section allows you to add raw materials required for production. It includes a toggle switch for adding a recipe to the product. When toggled, it reveals a box where you can select raw materials from the list. Adding raw materials updates the production price and calculates the COGS accordingly.

Special Features:

  • Import from File: Import raw materials from an Excel file (Bill of Materials).
  • Download Sample Excel File: Download a sample Excel file for importing raw materials.
  • Automatic Code Generation: Unique HSN code, product code, and barcode are generated automatically for each product.
  • Live Raw Material Stock: Receive alerts for low raw material stock and restock directly from the table.

Once all details are entered, simply click the Create Product button to finalize and automatically complete the product creation process.
